Schools formed one of the nodes that triggered people flow between Jerusalem and the surrounding villages, or between different rural areas, where people used to send their children to study in schools in the city of Jerusalem or in the surrounding villages.
Many people in the villages of Al Jib and Qalandia mentioned the role of schools in creating this network. Naeema Theeb stated that she used to send her children to Anata's school and then to Al-Jib's school.
Badee' Hussein, who lives in Qalandia, said that he studied at the Rashidiyya School in Jerusalem. In addition to that, there different colleges in Jerusalem, such as the Arab College, which had different students from the surrounding villages and cities.
