Wheat cultivation and milling was one of the productive activities that shaped the geographical relationship of Al Jib with the rural surroundings. A wheat mill existed in the village of al-Jib in the seventies and was the property of Dar Abdel-Aal. This mill made the village a destination for many surrounding villages during the wheat harvest season. It was one of the few mills available in the vicinity of the village. The mill was later demolished and there is now a restaurant for the same family.
