Organizations
involved in the project
Riwaq –
Center for Architectural Conservation and Birzeit Municipality
will supervise the execution of the overall Project which will
cover the implementation of various projects involved in the
rehabilitation and development of Birzeit’s historical area. In
order to achieve the Project objectives in partnership with
other organizations, a specialized work-team was formed
comprising Riwaq, Birzeit Municipality, Rozana Association and
Birzeit University. The work-team also includes specialists in
several related fields, including economic and social
development, conservation of architectural heritage, urban
planning, and the law. It should be noted that the project is
financed by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA).
